Recognition to the Diplomat
Szöveg: MoD Press Department | 2014. augusztus 18. 10:12Colonel Manfred Knopp, the outgoing defence attaché to Hungary of the Federal Republic of Germany received the Service Medal of Merit in golden grade on Wednesday, August 13.
Lt.-Gen. Dr. Zoltán Orosz, Deputy Chief of Defence presented the diplomat with the medal awarded by Minister of Defence Csaba Hende in his office, during the attaché’s farewell visit.
Col. Manfred Knopp has been defence attaché to Budapest since the autumn of 2011. He received the award for his outstanding work and sustained efforts in deepening the German–Hungarian bilateral military relations and cooperation, on the occasion of completing his military diplomacy service in Hungary.
The excellent Hungarian–German bilateral military (diplomatic) relations are based on historical traditions and the successful co-deployment in the Balkans and Afghanistan.
