Running Race in Camp Butmir
Szöveg: Capt. István Rácz | 2016. május 2. 9:00Organized by the EUFOR Headquarters Camp Commandant Moral and Welfare Activities (MWA), a 4km “Spring Fun Run” was held for the soldiers of 21 nations serving in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo on 21 April.
The organizers of the event intend to launch a series of running events, and quite a few peacekeepers entered the first such run from the 18th rotation of the HDF EUFOR Contingent (EUFOR-18 HUNCON). One of the Hungarian entrants, Sgt. Adrienn Gál finished third in the women’s category.
A special feature of the race was that SFC László Schottner and Cpl. László Ferencz (88th Light Infantry Battalion, HDF 2nd Special Forces Regiment) completed the distance wearing BDUs, boots and body armor.
