The main force of the seventh rotation of the HDF KFOR contingent (KFOR-7 HUNCON) arrived in Pristina on August 16-17, 2012. Lt.-Col. András Polyák, the commander of the sixth rotation received at the airport Lt.-Col. István Kása, the commander of the new rotation.

One week before the arrival of the main forces of the seventh rotation, the mission start-up team had commenced working in the area of operations. The personnel of the sixth rotation were ready to receive their successors, so they strove to share all their knowledge and experience with the members of the mission start-up team.

Having deplaned, the main forces headed for Camp Slim Lines, Pristina, where they are going to spend the next sixth months. After some in-theatre practice, the soldiers were accommodated in the camp. The next few weeks will not be easy for them, as they must complete the handover-takeover of the whole camp. The maneuver element has to prepare for conducting a culmination exercise in the area of operation, by which they reach full operational capability as an element of the KFOR Tactical Reserve Maneuver Battalion (KTM).
