Ambassador Ms. Karin Olofsdotter’s interest in the unit has been aroused by the water parade that was held this July in commemoration of the victory at Nándorfehérvár (Belgrade). Thus, at her request, the regiment invited the ambassador for a daylong program.

The unit introduced its activity at the military port of the Hungarian Defence Forces, where besides the static and dynamic EOD displays, the ambassador had an insight into the work of the EOD technicians and warship crews of the Hungarian Defence Forces as well as the structure and task system of the organization.

The guests were also introduced to the work of the explosive detection dogs (EDDs) serving with the EOD unit. Following the spectacular display, the program concluded with a ship’s setting sail, coupled with sightseeing on River Danube.

The ambassador thanked the Hungarian Defence Forces for the rich program.
