The Mentors of Kabul Work at a New Place
Szöveg: HDF LMT | 2014. február 3. 15:32The building complex of the Combat Support Service School (CSS School) financed by the German and the US Governments has been handed over recently. It is housing also the mentoring tasks of the HDF LMT.
The fruit of two years of hard work
The school extending on 15 thousand square meters of space has been prepared in two years. The quarters and the classrooms were designed and installed according to the requirements of the modern age, they have an ICT classroom, and other rooms specially designed for the needs of tuition.
The boarding of the instructors and students of the institution is ensured in a building complex consisting of a kitchen and a canteen, which can provide for the service of 1600 people at a time.
Hundreds of Afghans receive training here
The training centre, where the Hungarian mentors work, operates within the territory of the school. In the centre, the basic training of about 600 persons is taking place by turns. The logistic private personnel of the Afghan Army receive instruction here, who will become drivers, weapon- and vehicle technicians, cooks, suppliers, quartermasters, stock-keepers.
The opening ceremony of the new logistics school was attended by the Afghan First Deputy Minister of Defence, Enayatullah Nazari, the German Ambassador in Afghanistan Mr. Martin Jäger, and many other German and American officers.
The school was declared open with all due solemnities
First Deputy Minister expressed his thankfulness for the establishment of the school. He emphasized the importance of the training of the Afghan National Army (ANA), and stressed that the logistic experts have a key-role in this activity.
At the inauguration ceremony the Commandant of the CSS School, Colonel Ahmed Parwiz said thanks for the school building.
