The National Flag was Raised

The flag-raising ceremony is traditionally performed by the Budapest Garrison, and the permission for the raising of the flag was given by the President of the Republic of Hungary Dr. Schmitt Pál.
During the event, where Prime Minister Orbán Viktor and Speaker of the House Dr. Kövér László were also present, the Central Orchestra of the HDF Support Brigade and the National Horse Guard of the Republic of Hungary contributed, and the historical flags lined up as well in front of the building of Parliament. Kossuth Prize winner singer, Szvorák Katalin, sang the ‘Hymn’ (our National Anthem).
Preceding the flag-raising ceremony the HDF Crown Guards received the Head of State, Minister of Defence Dr. Hende Csaba and the Chief of the MoD Defence Staff Dr. Benkő Tibor with festive changing of the guard in the Dome Hall of Parliament.
