Transfer of Authority Completed in Sarajevo
Szöveg: kormany.hu | 2012. február 2. 15:01The tour of duty of the ninth rotation of the HDF EUFOR Contingent (EUFOR-9 HUNCON) has ended in Operation EUFOR ALTHEA. On Tuesday, January 24 the commanders of the ninth and tenth rotations – Lt.-Col. Szabolcs Kiss and Lt.-Col. Tamás Papp – signed the main record of transfer in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo, which marked the official takeover of the contingent commander’s responsibilities.
Lt.-Col. Papp said that the well-prepared paperwork ensured a smooth transfer of authority. During the two weeks available for the TOA process, the troops of the EUFOR-9 HUN CON were working full steam ahead. In addition to handing over material stocks, documents and positions, they shared the lessons they learned with the members of the incoming contingent.
The new commander added that he expects the personnel of the EUFOR-10 HUN CON to continue executing their tasks precisely on time. By doing so, they are going to earn good reputation for the Hungarian Defence Forces, and within them the HDF 12th Arrabona Surface-to-Air Missile Regiment and the HDF 37th ‘Ferenc Rákóczi II’ Engineer Regiment.
