Change in Afghanistan

The next day pre-deployment training courses were held for the newly arrived troops, the objective of which was the acquisition of the procedures and the important regulations introduced in the area of operation (AO). Then began the actual process of the transfer of authority (TOA): the inventory of the materials and tools in the handling of the HDF NSE, and the handover/takeover of the positions. The personnel returning home in a short time shared their experiences and knowledge with the succeeding personnel, who prepared for the challenges of the six months ahead of them.

The entire process of changing closed on 29th May with the transfer of the Commander’s position, in the framework of which the Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Langenbrinck transferring the authority and the Commander Lieutenant Colonel Zoltán Varga assuming the authority signed the Record of Transfer closing the handover/takeover process at a ceremony.

The Commander of the 18th Rotation commended the outstanding performance of his own personnel, and wished every success to the next personnel to the successful execution of the tasks of the forthcoming period. Lieutenant Colonel Varga thanked the outgoing contingent for their help in recent days, and he held up the high standards set by the predecessors as an example to his own personnel.
