All Souls’ Day Remembrance in Kosovo

The Hungarian and Austrian Contingents serving in KFOR jointly commemorated the soldiers, fallen in World War I, in the Austro-Hungarian cemetery located in the town of Pec, Western Kosovo.

The ceremony was graced with the presence of Brigadier General Reinhard Ruckenstuhl, the Kosovo Force Deputy Commander (KFOR DCOM), and the Ambassadors of Hungary and Austria to Kosovo. After the commemorative speeches the field chaplain of the Hungarian contingent remembered the fallen soldiers in a Hungarian and German language prayer.

In addition to KFOR DCOM and the Ambassadors – wreaths were laid at the monument by Lieutenant Colonel Bálint Legoza, the Commander of the 19th Rotation of HDF KFOR Contingent (KFOR-19 HUNCON) and Lieutenant Colonel András Mák, the Senior National Representative (SNR) of the Hungarian service members serving in Kosovo.
