Chief of Romanian General Staff Visits Budapest

Chief of Defence General Dr. Tibor Benkő received his Romanian counterpart, General Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca on a two-day official visit in Budapest. Besides attending the discussions, the delegation headed by the Romanian Chief of Defence also paid a visit to the HDF 2nd vitéz Bertalan Árpád Special Operations Forces (SOF) Group and the HDF 59th Dezső Szentgyörgyi Air Base.

Conference at Chiefs of Defence Level in Washington

Between 22–25 October in Washington, with the participation of chiefs of defence from 73 countries, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford hosted the International Chiefs of Defense for Counter-Violent Extremist Organizations (C-VEO) Conference. Hungary was represented at the event by Deputy Chief of Defence Lt.-Gen. Dr. Zoltán Orosz.

Chief of Defence Pays Two-Day Visit to Slovakia

Slovak Defence Minister Peter Gajdos has awarded the 1st Grade Memorial Medal of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovakia to Chief of Defence Gen. Dr. Tibor Benkő in Bratislava. On 23 October, the Hungarian general traveled to Slovakia for a two-day official bilateral meeting at chiefs of defence level.
