Chief of Defence Holds Discussions in Serbia

On Wednesday, April 5 the traditional border meeting between the Hungarian and Serbian chiefs of defence took place in Hajdukovo, Serbia. Chief of Defence Gen. Dr. Tibor Benkő was received by his Serbian counterpart, Gen. Ljubisa Dikovic, Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian armed forces.

EU Military Committee Meets at the level of Chiefs of Defence in Brussels

In preparation for the meeting of the European Council at the level of Heads of State and Government, to be held in December with defence issues also on the agenda, the European Union Military Committee (EUMC) met at the level of chiefs of defence in Brussels on 7–8 November. Headed by Chief of Defence Gen. Dr. Tibor Benkő, the members of the Hungarian delegation included Maj.-Gen. László Domján, Head of the Office of the Hungarian Military Representative, and the EU experts of the office.

Croatia Hosts NATO Military Commitee Chiefs of Defence Session

The Military Committee, NATO’s highest military authority met in Chiefs of Defence Session between 16–18 September. The chiefs of defence meet in this format annually to discuss NATO’s most significant strategic military issues, and to exchange views on the relevant topics.
