Brave Warrior 2015 – Reconnoitering the Training Area

The participants of this year’s largest international exercise Brave Warrior 2015 have occupied their new base at Újmajor near Veszprém. The Hungarian and American forces redeployed to the common camp after carrying out a river crossing operation on the Moson Danube.

At the opening of the training event, Exercise Director Brig.-Gen. Gábor Horváth, the commander of the HDF 25th “Klapka György" Infantry Brigade greeted the troops of the two nations. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of cooperation among nations and allies.

In the interest of the successful conduct of the exercise, the participants carried out aerial and ground reconnaissance, during which the Americans – being accompanied by the soldiers of the HDF 25th “Klapka György" Infantry Brigade – were shown around the Central Training Area and Range of the Hungarian Defence Forces.

In what followed, the participating units had opportunity to take a close look at each other’s technical equipment and weapons.
