Culmination Exercise in Szolnok and Táborfalva
Szöveg: Capt. László Bojtos | 2012. július 27. 11:43The Hungarian Defence Forces Peace Support Training Center (HDF PSTC) conducted two culmination exercises (CULEX) between July 16–19, 2012. The 32nd rotation of the UNFICYP and the 35th rotation of the MFO have finished their pre-deployment training for the missions abroad.
Thanks to the trainers’ devoted work, the members of the contingent were able to master and practice in realistic situations the skills that are required to fill their future positions. To ensure realistic conditions, all posts where Hungarian soldiers serve in Cyprus were modeled in the military training area of Táborfalva.
On July 19, the 24 personnel participating in the joint training program of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of the Interior first took a written test of the theoretical knowledge they had acquired on the training, then they had opportunity to demonstrate their aptitude for the mission abroad in a complex practice session. Some of the tasks the personnel were assigned on the CULEX are everyday and typical duties of the MFO mission, but the exercise was not exclusively made up of these routine tasks. By assessing the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the training audience, the trainers obtained a reliable picture of the final composition of the leaving Hungarian contingent at the July 20 personal interviews.
