The soldiers of the 39th Infantry Battalion of the HDF 5th “István Bocskai" Infantry Brigade currently serving in Camp Slim Lines, Pristina, Kosovo as peacekeepers of the Portuguese–Hungarian KFOR Tactical Reserve Manoeuvre Battalion (KTM) also marked the day of the unit. At the event, the Deputy Battalion Commander read out a letter of greeting, and then the commander of the Hungarian (Charlie) company briefly talked about the history of the battalion.

After the ceremony, there was a scout competition in which the personnel of the battalion were competing in six events to test their skills and strength.

In the last days of the past year, the servicemen of the Hungarian (Delta) company stationed in Camp Novo Selo also spent most of their free time with recreation. In this period, they organized several sports programs during which the peacekeepers of the nations serving in the camp had opportunities to test their strength, stamina and skills. Of these programs, the most outstanding ones were the competition Sparta 300 and the Christmas Soccer Game. The latter gave the soccer fans a chance to play matches, and the Sparta 300 competition presented the entrants with the huge challenge of completing a series in under a given time, which are also used in CrossFit workouts and consist of seven exercises with 300 repetitions.

Besides the Hungarians, the sports programs involved Polish, Portuguese, German and American competitors and even some members of local cooperating organizations.
