Hungarian Soldiers Receive Medals

The Hungarian soldiers serving at the NATO HQ Sarajevo (NHQSa) were recently presented with various medals in recognition of their outstanding work.

In the presence of EUFOR Chief of Staff Brig.-Gen. József Szpisják (Hungarian Senior

National Representative), Brig.-Gen. Walt T. Lord, the commander of NATO HQ Sarajevo

handed over the “Joint Service Commendation Medal" of the US military to Col. Sándor

Kisbenedek, COS, NHQSa; Lt.-Col. Tibor Vigh, personnel advisor, Military Advisory

Section, NHQSa; Maj. Zsolt Bana, support officer to the COS NHQSa; and SFC Ákos

Asperján, the assistant to the COS NHQSa.

Having completed their six-month service at the NATO HQ Sarajevo, the commander of the

NHQSa presented Lt.-Col. Tibor Vigh, Maj. Zsolt Bana and SFC Ákos Asperján with nonarticle 5 “Balkans Medals".
