This was the second year when the Children’s Day was organized, which offered colorful programs for children and adults, as the visitors were entertained with fire service, police and military demos, bouncy castle, outdoor games and a Hungarian static display. The children and their parents were interested in seeing the BTR-80/A combat vehicle on view, so many of them were present around it all the time.

The visitors also showed great interest in small arms and equipment. They were pleased to try on the exhibited body armors, gas masks and helmets, and had an opportunity to hold in their hands a grenade launcher, an assault rifle and a machine gun too. The Hungarian soldiers and the organizers and visitors of the event understood each other very well while they were communicating in English, so everybody took home positive experiences from the Children’s Day.
