„Joint Terminal Attack Controller” Capability in the Hungarian Defence Forces

The Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) capability was demonstrated during the exercise held in Szolnok. Minister Hende said he was proud to know that the Hungarian troops have been the first ones in the world to receive the JTAC accreditation from both NATO and the United States. According to the Minister of Defence, JTAC is an indispensable tool of contemporary warfare, and our troops are ready for the professional use of this capability if needed.
At the demonstration, the Minister himself was put in the middle of action. The scenario of the event that was being played out included an ambush on the VIP transport convoy of motor vehicles. The Minister was evacuated by a Mi-17 helicopter in the middle of the “firefight".
