Hungarian soldiers recently transported more than 40 containers in a single day from Camp Slim Lines to Camp Novo Selo in Kosovo. By the end of July, close to 40 service members will “permanently” relocate to Camp Novo Selo.

Reacting to the current state of the peace processes in Kosovo, in cooperation with allied forces, a decision has been made on the partial redeployment of the Hungarian KFOR contingent. In order to keep the operational tasks on a high level, Charlie Company of the contingent and the logistic elements servicing it are still assigned to the KFOR Tactical Reserve Maneuver Battalion (KTM) serving in Camp Slim Lines. Moving camp does not affect the soldiers’ everyday living and working conditions.

In the first phase, a Ukrainian engineer team moved some earth so that the containers can be set up vertically in their new place, and then the containers were transported there as a result of much preceding organizing work. Besides Hungarian logisticians, the Joint Logistic Support Group had a crucial role in ensuring a smooth workflow.

The JLSG consisted of Swiss and Austrian soldiers who helped with transporting the more than 40 containers in a single day.
