Attachés Visit Gödöllő and Székesfehérvár
Szöveg: Dávid Konkoly | 2014. június 23. 10:13Defence, military and air attachés – the members of the Budapest Military Attaché Corps (BMAC) – recently visited the defence industry companies of the Ministry of Defence in Gödöllő and the HDF 93rd “Sándor Petőfi” CBRN Battalion in Székesfehérvár.
The first stop of the two-day visit was Gödöllő, where the participants were introduced to the defence industry companies MoD ArmCom Communications-Technical Ltd. and MoD Currus Combat Vehicle Technology Co. The CEOs of the two companies gave a short overview of these organizations, including their history, scope of activities, organizational structure and range of products. In what followed, the attachés participated in static displays at the premises. After the Gödöllő workshops, the members of the BMAC visited the Grassalkovich Royal Palace built in the 18th century.
The next day started with another cultural program. The attachés first went sightseeing in the historic center of Székesfehérvár, the one-time coronation city, then they paid a unit visit to the HDF 93rd “Sándor Petőfi" CBRN Battalion. The chief of staff of the unit introduced the history, function, tasks and objectives of the battalion. After the presentation, the attachés were shown the motor transport (MT) and equipment of the unit.
