Szöveg: honvedelem.hu | 2017. február 6. 10:39The MoD Defence Economic Office has been awarded a non-repayable grant of HUF 887 million for the project “Energy efficient modernization of buildings in the Hungarian Defence Forces Medical Centre – Military Hospital”.
In the framework of the project – to be implemented with the support of the European Union Cohesion Fund and co-financed by the Hungarian state (KEHOP-5.2.1.-15-2015-00005) – eight buildings will be modernized in terms of energy efficiency at four complexes of the HDF Medical Centre in Budapest and one in Balatonfüred. These buildings were built at the end of the 19th and in the 20th centuries at the technological level of that age, and have not undergone energy-related modernization since then.
The investment in the energy efficiency of these buildings comprises the replacement of doors and windows with modern products, the subsequent thermal insulation of the outside walls and roof structures, and the installation of a household-sized, solar energy-based power system with a view to the maximum possible saving in energy-related operational costs.
The implementation of this project supports the achievement of results specified in the Environmental and Energy Efficiency Operative Programme, and contributes to the attainment of environmental protection goals. According to plans, the energy efficiency project will have been completed by 11 April 2018 and will result in the reduction of environmental impact and emission of greenhouse gases.
