General’s Visit
Szöveg: honvedelem.hu | 2017. március 2. 14:00On Monday, 27 February Maj.-Gen. Scott A. Howell, Commanding General, NATO Special Operations Component Command – Afghanistan (NSOCC-A) paid a visit to Mazar-e Sharif.
The aim of the general’s visit was to learn personally about the current status of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) train, advise and assist mission in the northern region and to get an operational update. During the visit he received detailed briefings from the commanders of US, German and Hungarian SOF contingents.
In recognition of their successful work done in training and supporting the Afghan Special Operations Forces as part of the Resolute Support Mission (RSM), Maj.-Gen. Howell awarded commander’s coins to three members of the Hungarian Defence Forces Special Operations Contingent.
