German Surgeon General Receives Medal of Service

In recognition of his professional work and outstanding achievements in developing German–Hungarian relations in the field of military medicine, Gen. Dr. Tibor Benkő, the Chief of the MoD Defence Staff presented the “Alliance” Service Medal to Surgeon General Lt-Gen. Dr. Kurt-Bernard Nakath, the Inspector of the Bundeswehr Joint Medical Service.

On June 9, Thursday in the afternoon the German general received the medal from Gen. Benkő in the Ministry of Defence on Balaton St., Budapest. Lt-Gen. (Med.) Dr. Kurt-Bernard Nakath is paying a visit to Hungary to attend the 35th plenary meeting of the Committee of the Chiefs of Military Medical Services (COMEDS) in NATO, which is being held in Hungary between June 6-11.
