20 years in NATO (Part 2)

On the occasion of this anniversary, we have selected some photos from among those published on the website of the Alliance in order to present the history of the past two decades through a characteristic event of each year.
9 March 2009 – Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland celebrate 10 years in NATO
1 July 2010 – General David H. Petraeus (new commander of ISAF) and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen during their meeting with the press
4 November 2011 – Operation Active Endeavour: 10 years of countering the threat of terrorism at sea – A NATO Airborne Warning and Control System on station. Airborne assets such as these contribute large amounts of data to Operation Active Endeavour during both deterrent and surveillance surge operations.
21 May 2012 – Chicago Summit – Official photo of participants at the meeting on Afghanistan
1 July 2013 – Visit to Hungary by the NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen
4 September 2014 – Armed Forces Declaration by the NATO Heads of State and Government (NATO Wales Summit)
19 November 2015 – NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg visits Hungary
29 September 2016 – General Petr Pavel, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee meets the Commanders of participating Nations in EX BRAVE WARRIOR
25 May 2017 – Handover ceremony for the new NATO Headquarters
30 October 2018 – NATO Secretary General and North Atlantic Council attend exercise Trident Juncture 2018 – Static display showcasing soldiers, vehicles and equipment at the Trident Juncture 2018 Distinguished Visitor Day
