Szöveg: Lt. Nándor Vatai | 2019. május 20. 13:32Multinational helicopter exercise is held in the Czech Republic between 13th May and 1st June based on the themes of the European Defence Agency’s Helicopter Exercise Programme (EDA HEP).
This year’s task is carried out by more than 600 soldiers of six nations (Hungarian, Belgian, Czech, German, Polish, and Slovenian) at the Náměšt Air Base, Czech Republic. The HDF 86th Szolnok Air Base contributes with a 49-member delegation, three Mi-24, and two Mi-17 type helicopters to the exercise Dark Blade 2019.
Within the framework of the exercise the Hungarian pilots have to cope with several tasks, among others with composite air operations (COMAO) combined with air-to-ground live fire exercise (LFX) under both day- and night-time conditions. The flights require an extremely precise and careful planning between the nations, as not only the airborne vehicles, but also the ground troops, and the Forward Air Controller (FAC) group play an important part on the scene of this year’s Blade exercise.
