Some days ago the Hungarian peacekeepers serving in Kosovo were presented with NATO medals in recognition of their six-month work.
The NATO medal is an international military decoration awarded to participants of NATO-led operations. The Hungarian peacekeepers serving in Kosovo received the medals in January in recognition of their six-month tour of duty in the mission.
In early January, a medal parade was held for the soldiers serving with the Portuguese–Hungarian KFOR Tactical Reserve Maneuver Battalion (KTM) in Camp Slim Lines, Pristina, and on 30 January the members of a Hungarian maneuver company assigned to the KFOR Multinational Battle Group East (MNBG-E) also received the medals.
At a staff meeting held on 30 January after the medal parade with the participation of the entire Hungarian contingent, Lt.-Col. Attila Enyedi, the commander of the unit presented awards to several Hungarian peacekeepers.
