The 48-year-old contender entered three events in the 52kg weight class: squat – gold medal, deadlift – gold medal, bench press – silver medal. With the 405kg total weight, she has also become the overall winner in the women’s category. The Hungarian champion has been doing this sport for 23 years so it didn’t cause any problem for her to practice in unusual conditions.

Magdolna is currently serving with the UNFICYP peacekeeping mission, so she trains in a gym in the camp, which she visits after completing her daily duty. Her preparation hasn’t finished yet, the next step of her career will be the masters world championship, to be held in Estonia in October.
