NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation Visits Szentendre

Gen. Jean-Paul Paloméros, the NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation paid a visit to the HDF NCO Academy in Szentendre too during his two-day stay in Hungary.

The personnel of the unit stationed in the Görgey-barracks received Gen. Paloméros and Gen.
Dr. Tibor Benkő, the Chief of the Defence Staff with military honors and a performance by
the Army Band of Szentendre.

Col. Tibor Deme, Chief of Staff gave a presentation on the unit and the NCO training
program. Afterwards Maj. Imre Schmidt, the deputy head of the HDF NCO Academy
“Mecséri János" Training Branch talked about the international training capabilities of the
unit, also touching on the development of Counter Improvised Implosive Devices (C-IED)
capabilities, the results achieved so far and the plans for the future.
