Szöveg: Lt.-Col. Attila Torba | 2016. október 2. 7:00Exercise Immediate Response 2016 took place with the participation of ten countries in five military training areas of Croatia and Slovenia. Between 9–22 September, in addition to the host countries, close to 2000 troops increased their interoperability, coming from the United States, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo.
On the multinational, battalion-level, computer assisted command post exercise (CAX-CPX) and company-level tactical exercise, the Hungarian Defence Forces were represented by soldiers of the HDF 43rd Signal and Command Support Regiment and the HDF 86th Szolnok Helicopter Base. The event provided excellent opportunities to exercise tactical-level planning, organization and implementation processes, and for the subunits to practice air support for offensive operations and the potential tasks of mass casualty evacuation and treatment during humanitarian aid operations in a ROLE-2 field hospital.
The exercise ended with VIP days in both countries, which were attended by Brig.-Gen. Gábor Horváth, Acting Land Forces Chief, HDF Joint Force Command, together with the land force commanders of participating countries.
