Pentecost in Afghanistan
Szöveg: hungariandefence.com | 2011. június 27. 15:36On Whitsunday a ceremonial service was held in Camp Pannonia, Afghanistan. The attendees received Communion and the padre turned to God for solace in his prayer to comfort the family and relatives of our comrade, a military doctor captain who recently passed away with tragic suddenness.
“Pentecost is the feast of the Holy Spirit coming to the Apostles, the birthday of the Church", the Protestant pastor of the camp said in his sermon. “Like in the old days, the Holy Spirit today calls for unity in willing and thinking. The only way for the troops, the units, the mission, the nation, the church and any human community to make real progress is to act as one in unity. Instead of discrimination and suppression, this unity should be expressed in love, mutual recognition and respect."
