They Jumped on the Second Step of the Podium
Szöveg: honvedelem.hu | 2018. június 15. 18:27The Hungarian soldiers performed excellently at the accuracy landing competition of the Parachute World Cup Series (PWCS) in Croatia.
The Parachute Team of the Hungarian Defence Forces achieved excellent performance at the first station of this year’s tournament in Rijeka, Croatia.
At the Accuracy Landing World Cup Series the team of five (Captain Tamás Bánszki, W.O. Gábor Hirschler and W.O. Tamás Varga, Volunteer Operational Reservist W.O. István Asztalos, Sergeant Major Szabolcs Gál) won the second prize, and in individual competition W.O. Tamás Varga finished on the elegant 3rd place.
The team-members began the preparation for the competition in the spring, the success of which is also demonstrated by the results achieved in Rijeka. This test was the first station of the series of six competitions. The team has not got time however for a longer recreation, as during the coming weekend they can prove their skills and knowledge in Bled, Slovenia.
The accuracy landing competition series provides a good opportunity for the team to prepare for the 42nd CISM World Military Parachuting Championship 2018 to be staged in August in Szolnok!
