Start of Exercise Lion Effort 2012
Szöveg: honvedelem.hu / mh59.hu | 2012. április 3. 9:32The international Exercise Lion Effort 2012 takes place in Sweden between March 27 and April 5. The host of the joint exercise is the F17 Wing of the Swedish Air Force, which is based at Ronneby in Southern Sweden.
The Hungarian Defence Forces are represented by 44 airmen from the HDF 59th ‘Szentgyörgyi Dezső’ Air Base and the HDF 86th Szolnok Helicopter Base. In the morning of March 27, the Hungarians set out to participate in the exercise from the Kecskemét air base by two An-26 transport aircraft. The Hungarian Air Force brings five Gripens to the exercise.
During the individual and formation flights, the pilots conduct offensive and defensive counter air as well as composite air operations (COMAO) within and beyond visual range. The aim of the exercise is to enable them to gain experience, share their practical expertise and demonstrate their capability of interoperability.
