The Goal Is to Speak with One Voice
Szöveg: WO Erika Varga Szabóné | 2015. szeptember 13. 7:46The ceremony for the change of command of the Joint Regional Detachment Centre (JRD-C) in Kosovo took place recently at the NATO KFOR HQ in Pristina. The JRD-C is the professional superior organization of the Liaison Monitoring Teams (LMTs) deployed in the whole area of Kosovo, including the Hungarian LMT operating in this area of responsibility.
Looking back to his period in Kosovo, outgoing commander Col. Corrado Benzi stated that “It is always challenging to work in a multinational environment as KFOR with so many different cultures, experiences and sensibility, for sure it has been an honour and a privilege to be part of this very efficient organization composed of soldier of different nations united under the same flag, aiming at the same goal and speaking with one voice".
The primary mission of the JRD-C is to contribute to the maintenance of a Safe and Secure Environment and Freedom of Movement in its area of responsibility which includes 13 municipalities, Furthermore, it is tasked with monitoring and early identifying security, socio-economic and political situations.
At the end of the ceremony, Col. Benzi handed over the flag – which symbolizes cohesion and community spirit – to incoming commander Col. Massimo Mela.
