Training for the Trainers
Szöveg: Col. Unfortunately, a large number of these crimes are committed by the troops of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC).
Significant efforts are being made to
decrease the number of these crimes. In cooperation with the UN organs and the international
and local humanitarian NGOs operating in the country, the EUSEC RD Congo mission has
launched an action program with the aim of providing so-called awareness-raising programs
and training courses for the soldiers of the armed forces. Within this program, 25 soldiers
have recently been prepared. After completing a training course, they are going to continue
their awareness-raising activity in their own subunits.
The five-day training course was held in Uriva, South Kivu Province, with the participation
of the EUSEC advisors, Col. Sándor Nagy and Maj. Béla Lökösházi as well as the UN
development program (Programme de la Nation Unies pour le développement, PNUD).
