Visit at the Bosnian Chief of Defence

During the discussion, which was official, but conducted in a friendly tone, the role taking of the Hungarian Defence Forces in the Western Balkans was also mentioned.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia-Herzegovina spoke with sincere appreciation of the engagement and the tasks of the Hungarian Defence Forces in the EUFOR Althea operation. Major General Jeleč praised also the Hungarian involvement in the capability development and the training of the local armed forces.
Brigadier General József Szpisják confirmed the EUFOR commitment in further supporting the Armed Forces of Bosnia-Herzegovina. An important element of this is the ongoing presence of the Hungarian soldiers, he said.
