The Hungarian peacekeepers serving in Kosovo, in addition to the joint Cross Training with the EULEX (European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo), also carried out a complex Fire Phobia, i.e. a training to help overcome the fear of fire.

The soldiers of one of the companies of the Hungarian contingent – in order to maintain the continuous proficiency and skills – have recently participated with the EU delegated EULEX Polish company assigned with police tasks in a two-day training in Camp Vrelo, near Pristina.
The pre-deployment training performed for the second time was closed with a complex exercise, where the subunits, the co-operating forces and the command posts had to overcome unexpected events. They had to replace the forces involved in the execution several times, and they also had to deal with situations resulting in mass injuries. The stable co-ordination between the two subunits formed as a result of the trainings paid off: the forces of KFOR and the EULEX demonstrated that they can work well together including real situations.
The Slovenian company serving subordinated to the Multinational Battle Group – West; MNBG W, took part in a complex Fire Phobia drill in Camp Novo Selo, where with the mentoring of the Hungarian soldiers – similarly to the Austrian companies –they could practice the prevention of the Molotov-cocktail attacks taking place in case of CRC (Crowd and Riot Control) tasks – first in squad, then in platoon and company formation.
