Eighteenth Rotation of HDF KFOR Contingent Starts Service in Kosovo

On 22 March, the unit colors of the Hungarian contingent serving in Kosovo were handed over at a ceremony held in Camp Novo Selo.

COMKFOR Maj.-Gen. Salvatore Cuoci, DCOM KFOR Brig.-Gen. János Csombók, COS KFOR Brig.-Gen. Lawrence Powell and Béla Bozsik, Deputy Head of Mission at Hungary’s Embassy in Kosovo honored the event with their presence. In his speech, Maj.-Gen. Cuoci praised the performance of the outgoing contingent and thanked the Hungarian soldiers for their conscientious work.

Outgoing Contingent Commander Lt.-Col. István Varga talked about the tasks completed in the recent months, and expressed his best wishes to the incoming personnel.

After receiving the unit colors, Lt.-Col. Sándor Horváth, the commander of the 18th rotation of the HDF KFOR contingent (KFOR-18 HUNCON) emphasized that the 17th rotation has set high standards, which must be met, and all members of the new rotation will do their best to perform their assigned tasks to the highest standards.
