Aláírták a baltikumi légi rendészet technikai egyezményét

A napokban Litvániában, a Siauliai bázison aláírták azt a technikai egyezményt, amely tartalmazza a baltikumi légi rendészeti feladat minden részletét. A dokumentumot Audronis Navickas ezredes, a litván légierő parancsnoka és Ugrik Csaba dandártábornok, az MH 59. Szentgyörgyi Dezső Repülőbázis parancsnoka látta el kézjegyével.

An–26 Transport Aircraft of the Hungarian Defence Forces Returns Home After Overhaul

The An-26 aircraft with side number 406 returned home from Kiev with a certificate of airworthiness after a flight trial. With this, another transport aircraft is now available to the Hungarian Defence Forces for the logistic support of the upcoming Baltic Air Policing mission.

Hungarian–Lithuanian Cooperation Agreement Renewed

“As part of our NATO commitment, Hungary will participate in the Baltic Air Policing mission with four Gripen fighters and the deploying ground support personnel for four months, between September and December 2015”, Minister of Defence Csaba Hende said on Thursday, May 14 after he and Lithuanian Minister of National Defence Juozas Olekas signed a renewed cooperation agreement between the two Ministries of Defence.

Norway takes the lead in NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission

Norway will assume lead responsibility for NATO’s air policing mission over the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania on Friday (1 May 2015). The United Kingdom will also rejoin the mission while Italy and Belgium will continue their participation. A handover ceremony is taking place on Thursday (30 April 2015) at Šiauliai airbase in Lithuania, where Italy will formally transfer lead responsibility for the mission to Norway.
