Day Of Remembrance And Salutation

On May 21, the Day of Hungarian National Defence the events that took place 160 years ago were commemorated in the Buda Castle. The flowers of remembrance were laid on the soldiers’ memorial on Dísz Square and the statue of Görgey on the Fehérvári rondella. The Esztergomi rondella was the venue of the hoisting of the flag.

‘Zero-Kilometer’ Urban Combat

‘Ruin City’, under the supervision of the Újdörögd Training Base, was swarmed with the students of HDF Kinizsi Pál Non-Commissioned Officers’ Training School of Szentendre. The future non-commissioned officers were practicing urban combat and the necessary engineering tasks in the ‘deserted town’ that is far from populated areas. Honvedelem.hu reports from the site.

For Fify Years Over The Speed Of Sound

The event that happened fifty years ago was commemorated at HDF 59th ’Dezsõ Szentgyörgyi’ Aviation Base in Kecskemét.

Military Patrol Championship Across Mountains And Valleys

The military patrol championship of the Hungarian Defence Forces was conducted by HDF 25th ‘György Klapka’ Infantry Brigade of Tata. Teams of 21 military organizations entered the competition. There was a seventeen-kilometer route – as the crow flies – to be completed by the men, and ten kilometers for the women.

The Winner Of The European Powerlifting Championship Has Become A Private

In Hajdú-Bihar county, the thousandth contractual soldier has joined the service. The 22-year-old young man was formally welcomed on 4 May at the Debrecen Recruitment Office. He will complete his basic training in Szentendre and following that, he will be a mechanic of the Reconnaissance Battalion of HDF 5th ‘István Bocskai’ Infantry Brigade.

Dream Team Introduced In Derecske

We can say without any exaggeration: this weekend, everything is about off-road rally in Derecske, since the small Hajdú-Bihar county town and its surroundings host the first round of this year’s national off-road rally tournament. The interesting thing about the race is that the off-road rally team of the Hungarian Defence Forces entered a competition for the first time. On Saturday, honvedelem.hu was also present.

With Bare Hands, Soundlessly

The military hand-to-hand combat camp organized by the reconnaissance battalion of the Debrecen infantry brigade in the last three weeks required iron will indeed. On the last day before the exam, well-known experts transferred their theoretical and practical knowledge to the soliers who signed up for the camp in the drill ground of Hajdúhadház.
