At the opening event of the Budapest informal meeting of NATO defence ministers, the Hungarian Provincial Reconstruction Team, having returned from Afghanistan, was welcomed in the framework of a celebration. The event, held in Kossuth Square, was attended by NATO’s Secretary General, Hungarian dignitaries, and the soldiers’ relatives were also present.

The Faculty Of Military Science

The other faculty of Zrínyi Miklós University of National Defence is Kossuth Lajos Faculty of Military Science, which had been established together with the institute, in 1996. ’Thanks to’ this faculty, we can celebrate the 200th jubilee of Hungarian officer training this year, for the institute is the legal successor of the Royal Hungarian Honvéd Ludovika Academy, the first educational institution of basic officer training in Hungary, founded in 1808.

A Car In Flames, Soldiers Putting Out Fire In The Military Dock

Regional methodological exercise – the official name of the training held in the last week of August, with the participation of the staff of the Headquarters of the Fire Department of Budapest, and the warship crew of HDF 1st Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Warship Battalion (MH 1. HTHZ), in the Újpest military dock of the Hungarian Defence Forces. The purpose of the disaster management training was to put out fires breaking out on floating establishments, to locate underwater wrecks, and to rescue people from the water.

Expedition To The Hungarian Warship That Sank 90 Years Ago

An expedition organized by Hungarians is to set off soon to the Adriatic Sea, to explore the remains of warship Saint Stephen, that sank 90 years ago, in 1918. The military divers of the Hungarian Defence Forces will also participate in the series of dives.
