The EOD experts of the HDF PRT have had some busy days recently. Last week, in addition to their normal daily tasks, they were called twice to defuse and annihilate explosive devices which were found by the Afghan security forces in ISAF convoy routes.

Construction Of A Hydroelectric Power Station With Hungarian Support

The troops of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HDF PRT) paid a visit to the village of Pulkah in Banu province on the occasion of the launch of an important project. They were invited to a great event in the life of the village, the opening ceremony of the construction of a new hydroelectric power station. In the village that is 120 kilometres from Pol-e Khumri, electricity supply has been a big problem for years.

Service Awards For OMLT Troops

Colonel László Szabó, the commander of the HDF PRT was invited to the formal personnel assembly of the Hungarian-led joint American-Hungarian Operational Mentor and Liaison Team. The Hungarian mentors take part in the preparation and training of one of the battalions of the Afghan National Army in Baghlan province.
