The first stage of their program was the Ludovika St. campus of the National University of Public Service. The visit started with a presentation held by the faculty heads, which introduced the attachés to the history of the university, its operational and organizational structure, and the future plans for the development of the buildings. The presentations by the heads of the university level programs gave them useful information about the structure of the programs, the subject modules, the HDF Ludovika Battalion and the students’ career opportunities. At the end of the day, the attachés were shown round inside the buildings, where they saw the uniquely beautiful Széchenyi room and the university chapel.

On the second day, the attachés’ program continued in the HDF 1st EOD and Warship Regiment. In the Irinyi János barracks, Col. Attila Csurgó introduced the military unit to the visitors. The commander’s presentation gave the guests an overview of the history, organizational structure, daily tasks, training modules and procedures as well as the motor transport (MT) of the unit and its equipment. During the rest of the day, the members of the attaché corps attended static and dynamic displays in the Újpest military port. Besides visiting the unit museum, they saw a demo of the EOD robot and the explosive detection dogs (EDD), and then boarded a minesweeper to travel as far as Parliament building.
