Christmas at the EUFOR Contingent
Szöveg: Capt. Tamás Bognár | 2011. december 29. 6:06As soon as the visit of the President of the Republic and the Minister of Defence ended, Christmas “set in” at the Hungarian EUFOR contingent serving in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
On the occasion of the holiday, at a God service celebrated in the evening hours on Friday, December 23, Captain Attila Zoltán Vígh and Lieutenant Dénes Molnár were baptized.
Next day, on Saturday, December 24 the service members of the contingent assembled round the Christmas tree set up on the parade ground. The Army Chaplain Capt. Dr. Ervin János Alácsi said the Christmas benediction, then Lt. Col. Szabolcs Kiss, the Commander of the Contingent thanked for the work of the soldiers performed until today, and together with his two Deputies they handed over the gift of the President of the Republic.
Following the staff meeting the atmosphere of the holiday was provided for the soldiers besides the Christmas carols, by fondant candy and the traditional roll cake.
