The national parachute team of the Hungarian Defence Forces won a bronze medal at the CISM Military Parachuting World Championship, which took place between 10-21 July in Warendorf, Germany.

The Hungarian team won the bronze medal at the team accuracy landing, an event which was entered by 29 teams. The winner of the category was China, followed by Russia. As the Hungarian team became world champion last year, it can be stated that the Hungarian military parachute team has ranked among the best in the world for years now.

Out of 167 soldiers, a Hungarian competitor, WO Tamás Varga – a soldier of the HDF 86th Szolnok Helicopter Base – was placed third in the individual accuracy landing category.
