Dr. Romulusz Ruszin in Afghanistan. The 11th contingent of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT-11) recently held a medal parade.
In his speech, Brig.-Gen. László Szabó praised the high professional standards of the troops, and stressed the PRT’s international recognition. “In the theatre of war in Afghanistan, it is not enough if you are a soldier under arms – you must radiate humanism among the local people so that they can reach the much-desired peaceful condition as soon as possible", the general said.
The NATO medals were presented by Brig.-Gen. László Szabó, Col. Dr. Romulusz Ruszin, commander, Lt.-Col. István Megtért, Deputy Commander, Lt.-Col. Lajos Nagy, Chief of Staff and Capt. Miklós Oláh, Company Officer Commanding.
Col. Romulusz Ruszin delivered a speech in English, in which he thanked the superior for the assistance provided so far, and asked him for further support. He congratulated the soldiers on earning the NATO medal, wishing everyone a successful tour of duty abroad. The colonel expects the troops to show the same degree of discipline and proficiency in the next month that they have done in the recent period. “The phrase “Thank you" is too simple for that brave and professional act I have experienced day by day in the task execution", Col. Dr. Romulusz Ruszin pointed out.
