Among many other soldiers they bade Godspeed to him, as well, with all due solemnities at the HDF Joint Forces Command (HDF JFC) Headquarters during a combined farewell and welcome home ceremony, arranged on Wednesday, January 29.

In his speech Deputy Commander and Land Forces Chief of the HDF JFC Brigadier General Dr. Gábor Böröndi emphasized that the stability of the unified Balkans theatre is the number one priority of Hungary. “The fact that the Chief of Staff of the Althea Mission can be a Hungarian general shows the acknowledgement of the international role played by the Hungarian Defence Forces", pointed out the Chief of the Land Forces.
