During August, the main task for the maneuver companies of the 15th rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent (KFOR-15 HUNCON) stationed in Kosovo was to reach Full Operational Capability (FOC).

The companies were training in a multinational environment for the tasks entailed in the core function of the KFOR mission, in cooperation with the troops of the Portuguese, Swiss, German, American and Ukrainian contingents stationed in Kosovo.

Basically, the tasks are connected with crowd riot control (CRC) and its details, but the patrolling duties are also significant, so it was equally important to get ready for their proper execution. At the “FOX III" FOC validation exercise, the soldiers of the Hungarian CHARLIE company demonstrated their operational capabilities.

The objective of the exercise was to have the subunit integrated into the task system of the KFOR Tactical Reserve Maneuver Battalion (KTM).

Some days later, DELTA Company also reached Full Operational Capability. As part of the preparation process, they held a medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) exercise, Fire Phobia training (which enables them to react to the threat of incendiary devices) and counter-obstacle training (with a Freedom of Movement Detachment, FOMD).
