KFOR HUNCON Celebrates Mother’s Day in Kosovo

The sixth rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent (KFOR-6 HUNCON) also marked the Mother’s Day in Kosovo. On behalf of the peacekeepers, Lt.-Col. András Polyák, the commander of the contingent greeted the mothers, presenting them with a small but touching gift.
With the help of MR6 – The Radio of the Region, a radio in Debrecen with a regional broadcast, the soldiers had an opportunity to greet the mothers at home in Hungary too. S/Sgt. András Somogyi and L/Sgt. Balázs Ónodi were able to be “at home with the family" on the wavelength of the radio for a while when they sent their greetings home and asked for a number to be played.
