Maneuver Company on Exercise

Tamás Bognár | 2011. október 22. 14:15According to the training schedule of the Multinational Battalion (MNBN), the maneuver company of the 9th rotation of the HDF EUFOR contingent (EUFOR-9 HUNCON) conducted a company-level complex exercise at Bileca, in the south-east corner of Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) on October 11-12.
The first day of the task execution started with the redeployment of the maneuver company, which took almost six hours because the Bileca base is located 220 kilometers from Sarajevo. In the afternoon the Hungarian maneuver company conducted squad-level target practice in the military training area, then the complex exercise for the company began. In this phase, the infantry platoons were assigned a number of tasks, including VIP escort, crowd and riot control (CRC) and convoy operations. The Hungarian troops’ actions involved an Albanian EOD team as well. The complex exercise ended with platoon-level target practices.
Following the exercise, the Hungarian maneuver company commenced training for the next task, which is a joint training program to be conducted with a platoon of the armed forces of the BiH.
