At the meeting, Dr. István Simicskó pointed out that the Croatian–Hungarian military cooperation is excellent, first of all in the fields of training, education and the cooperation between the Special Operations Forces, and also that Hungarian soldiers are participating in increasingly more international exercises together with Croatian troops. The minister emphasized that our aim is to maintain and, if possible, further strengthen this military cooperation. The two sides also discussed the field of tribute diplomacy, the development of the armed forces and the possibilities of defence industry cooperation, with special regard to the future opportunities provided by the European Defence Fund.

At the meeting, the partners underlined the close cooperation of the two countries in the framework of the European Defence Cooperation, and the importance of the V4 – CEDC event that is scheduled to take place at the end of March 2018.
