At a meeting held during the conference, Col. Besenyő introduced the Portuguese guest to the results of the GS SRC and the current tasks of the research centre. The head of department said that the visit has outstanding significance because the research centre lays great emphasis on creating and deepening a wide cooperation with the representatives of scientific and professional life, both on the national and the international level.

Lt.-Col. Brás Bernardino showed great interest in the research centre’s system of activities and tasks, all the more because the GS SRC has been cooperating with the Portuguese Military Academy Research Centre (CINAMIL) for over a year. Studies written by several Hungarian soldiers and PhD students have already appeared in the scientific journal Proelium of the Portuguese Military Academy, and articles by Portuguese military officers have been published in the periodical Defence Review, which is edited by the GS SRC.
